A leading pan-European logistics and industrial investment platform is seeking an Associate to join their growing Portfolio Management team. The team manage a large portfolio of owned prime logistics assets across Europe including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
The role
The Associate will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical duties associated with operating a rapidly changing portfolio of logistic properties in Europe. The duties relate to portfolio analysis and strategic decision making and capital allocation decisions.
This will include a variety of tasks surrounding portfolio management and driving the development/redevelopment of our client's land bank/existing assets. The likely role responsibilities would include:
Developing relationships with regional analysts and asset managers and participating in asset management and leasing meeting.
Overseeing and coordinating the transformation of the client's existing portfolio, including building out a growing land bank and redevelopment of older, lower-grade product.
Ensuring the delivery of Class A, sustainable, market-leading logistics product, as well as maintaining and designing ongoing redevelopment models.
Participate heavily in the annual budget and ongoing re-forecasting processes that involves planning, determining financial and operational goals, and reporting on results to field teams and senior management.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The Associate must possess the following:
Work experience in the finance or commercial real estate fields
Very strong analytical skills with a deep knowledge of and mastery of Excel
Deep interest in portfolio and property-level asset management decision making and capital allocation strategy
Intelligence with a keen focus on detail
Strong finance knowledge. Progress towards CFA, CAIA or similar professional certifications a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A strong work ethic.
European language skills a major plus but not required
