Senior Development Manager – Private Equity firm – London
We are currently working with a leading private equity business who due to continued growth are looking to expand their team with a Senior Development Manager from a Project Management background. They are an exceptional business with £10 billion of assets under management across Europe with a focus on BtR residential, hotel and office developments.
Remuneration:
£90,000 - £120,000 + Benefits + Bonus 50%+
The Senior Development Manager be joining a small dynamic team who oversee the investment and value add development of a mixed portfolio of assets including BtR residential, hotel, office and mixed-use developments across Europe. The majority of acquisitions require a large value add CAPEX spend with projects generally valued between £20 million and £100 million and developed either direct or via JV partners.
The Senior Development Manager will have come from a project management background and developed their skills and understanding of cash flows, IRR and development appraisals. The role will oversee the full development lifecycle from initial DD and input into the development appraisals through planning, tender and management of consultant / JV teams challenging the design, procurement and set up through to completion.
The role will report into the MD and investment committee, and they are looking for a proactive commercially astute individual who has experience managing risk and the confidence to answer the difficult questions and keep development in line with the original appraisals.
Requirements:
Degree in Project Management or Real Estate
Ideally circa 8+ years’ experience developing from a project manager into a client side development management position ideally within a PE business.
Experience in overseeing the 360 development cycle from front end due diligence, design, tender, JV development agreement and JCT contract administration, cashflows, change management and monitoring a project through delivery phases against the development agreement to final handover.
Understanding of Investment cash flow, IRR, development appraisals and loan document set up.
Good high level reporting experience and people management skills
Engaging, commercially astute, hardworking and ambitious.
