The Company and Role

Our client is a leading global investment manager with a multibillion-pound portfolio across Europe. This role will be working in a newly formed project team with colleagues across the new business and development teams to underwrite a development in Central London with a GDV of £2 billion. This role is reporting directly into the Managing Director who is the commercial lead on this project and you will also gain exposure to assessing and underwriting other real estate investment opportunities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the underwriting of a major London development with a consideration for the project viability as the design process evolves.

  • Prepare internal investment memorandum, investor presentations and business plans.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for both new and existing assets.

  • Provide detailed analytics to capital partners, banks, and other key stakeholders.

  • Produce monthly and quarterly reports.

  • Assist with the completion of and review of internal reporting and budget review.

  • Perform lease appraisal analysis and assist with lease routing/approvals.

  • Respond to internal information requests.

  • Prepare local market data compilations.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree educated from a top tier university in a field requiring high analytical aptitude.

  • 1-2 years analytical experience within real estate.

  • Excellent numerical skills and able to represent the concepts of real estate investment in Excel form.

  • Understanding of the conceptual framework of real estate investment and investment management more broadly.

  • Proficiency across the MS Office suite.

  • Able to multi-task, prioritise and work to a high standard under pressure.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
