Role Overview
Sitting in our client's award winning UK ‘Big Box’ team, the successful candidate will be working on large logistics real estate across the country. The role will be based in London reporting to one of the Directors, but the successful candidate will assist the entire team as well as taking ownership of their own assets.
Main Responsibilities
To assist the UK Big Box Asset Management team with the following as well as taking ownership of:
Lettings – overseeing external letting agents to produce marketing campaigns
Lease renewals and lease re-gears – analysing potential terms and negotiating with customers
Rent reviews – overseeing appointed rent review specialists to drive rents forward
Work with external property managers to maximise efficient portfolio
Assist Technical Team in relation to cap-ex projects particularly refurbishments of vacant space
Increase the value of the portfolio by maximising rental streams and added value initiatives
When required, assist the Transactions Team with acquisitions and sales
Regular site visits and customer meetings across the UK (ability to travel)
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
This role would suit someone in a consultancy side role (property management, portfolio valuation, leasing etc) seeking to make their first move into asset management. Other qualities/ qualifications will include:
A good understanding of Property, ideally within the Industrial/logistics sector but not essential
Commercial property experience and MRICS qualified
Personable and confident when dealing with a range of stakeholders
Strong analytical and reporting skills
A genuine team player who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
