Our client is an independent real estate asset and development management business with a long-standing track record in the retail sector. With extensive experience ranging from full development to the asset management of some of the UK’s best known shopping centres, our client is a market leading specialist.
Our client’s focus on larger more dominant assets, coupled with a proven development track record has facilitated strong growth in recent years and one of their leading schemes, based in Newcastle, requires an Assistant Asset Manager/ Asset Manager (level dependant on experience) to join its onsite asset management team.
The centre this role will work on has many upcoming projects including unit reconfigurations, unit extensions and other value add projects. This role will therefore be focused on assisting with the overseeing the delivery of projects and leasing of space. This person will support the onsite asset manager for the site in the delivery of these works and day to day asset management, assisting in a wide range of tasks across project management, leasing, commercialisation and the management of the centre.
Minimum requirements include:
MRICS qualified, ideally 2 years PQE but some flexibility.
Experience in commercial real estate. Prior retail experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience in managing projects and working on transactions would be particularly useful, as would a property management background, however there is flexibility on which of these areas candidates have prior experience in.
Strong commercial acumen and market awareness.
The successful candidate will be based on site at the centre for a minimum of 3 days per week. The other days they would have the option to work from home.
This role has a competitive basic salary, dependant on experience, plus benefits and a discretionary bonus.
