The Company

A privately owned global real estate investment, development and management firm, with a multi-billion pound UK portfolio is seeking an Asset Manager to join their Asset Management team, focused on retail assets.

This Asset Manager will work with a senior Director on the management of one very large shopping centre, as well as helping with other assets in both London and the regions.

The Role

Working on both shopping centre and high street retail assets, the successful candidate will work on a variety of tasks including leasing, overseeing projects, working on value-add strategies, and overseeing the external property managers.

Likely role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leasing of units

  • Driving forward lease regears and renewals

  • Assisting with the overseeing of projects - refurbishments, reconfigurations and redevelopment

  • Assisting with the compilation and execution of asset management initiatives

  • Overseeing the external Property Management consultancies

  • General support of senior team members in all aspects of their roles and decision-making

  • Assisting with the constant refining of asset management processes

Candidate Requirements

Minimum requirements include:

  • Qualified Chartered Surveyor with up to five years’ PQE

  • Experience in retail property management or agency is essential, asset management experience / exposure is desirable

  • Negotiation and leasing skills

  • Strong writing, reporting and presentation skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and market awareness

  • Impressive educational background

  • Well-presented and strong communication skills

  • Ability to fit into a small team and work in a broad role
