A strategic asset & development manager focused on retail transformation and repositioning is seeking an Asset Surveyor to join its growing team. With an exceptional reputation within its sector, our client works with leading private equity investors, Local Authorities and banks.
The Asset
This asset management role will work on the transformation of a super-regional shopping and mixed use destination. With a multi-million pound investment programme over the coming years, the asset business plan is to transform the asset into a vibrant family lifestyle destination with a leading retail and leisure offer. This will involve one of the retail and mixed-use sectors most exciting placemaking projects.
The Role
The successful candidate will join a project focused team, reporting to the Senior Asset Manager, and take an active role in delivering the programme of investment scheduled over the coming years. This individual will be accountable for optimising performance and managing/mitigating risks at the asset through strong asset management leadership and decision making, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders. In more detail, this will require this individual to:
Understand and contribute to the strategic direction and investment plan for the asset.
Assist and contribute to analysing the business plan objectives.
Participate in executing leasing and major lease events in line with asset strategy.
Assist with the analysis and delivery of projects - refurbishments, reconfigurations and redevelopment.
Contribute meaningfully to the production of annual business plans, budgets, and multi-annual cashflow projections.
Support the team in managing third party service providers.
Candidate Requirements
A qualified Chartered Surveyor with valuation/investment experience, but not essential.
Experience in retail and mixed use multi-let assets.
Numerical skills with the ability to understand and influence cashflows and data in Excel.
Knowledge of commercial property processes and negotiation.
Good presentation skills - written and oral.
Remuneration:
The role has a likely basic salary of up to £60,000, dependant on experience, plus competitive bonus potential.
