A leading, dynamic and growing life science investor developer that provides high-quality laboratory and office space is seeking an Associate Director to join their growing Investment team. With partnerships with institutional and private equity capital, the role is a growth hire prompted by securing significant capital to deploy over the coming years.
The Role
In an investment focused role, this person will work alongside the Head of Investment leading on the financial analysis of new and existing opportunities and assisting with deal execution. This person will gain exposure to originating new opportunities, underwriting them, performing due diligence and closing transactions. Key responsibilities will include:
Creation of bespoke, flexible financial models for real estate assets and/or portfolios.
Maintenance of the generic internal investment model
Analysis and benchmarking of life science companies and assets
Provision of analysis and due diligence to support real estate acquisitions and disposals.
Preparation of asset business plans and Information Memoranda.
Working alongside professional advisors and partners’ investment and tax teams
Where relevant, working alongside client investment teams on debt sourcing, refinancing and restructuring.
Prior experience and skillset
5+ years of real estate finance and transactions experience.
Strong team player, effective decision maker and accountable for own workload.
Ideally, an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or MRICS qualification.
Expert Excel skills with the ability to create and maintain complex financial models,
Ideally, but not necessarily, life science experience.
Remuneration
The basic salary of this role will depend on prior experience, working from 5 years of relevant experience upwards. The salary will therefore vary to reflect this potential experience range but will not exceed £100,000 basic salary in addition to a discretionary bonus and benefits.
