Background

A leading investment management company with offices in North America and Europe and a UK focused business, is seeking an Associate to join their Value Add Funds team.

The team’s focus is typically on the development of buildings, mainly in logistics space, the re-zoning of land to residential uses, usually in suburban locations, and BTR. With two new funds going live in the near future, this is an exciting time to be joining the team.

Role

The Associate role will support the head of value add funds who is responsible for the management of various funds that invest into commercial property development and land for planning projects

Job Responsibilities

Supporting the head of value-add funds in:

  • Aiding sourcing, underwriting, structuring and selection of projects

  • Oversight of projects being undertaken by operating partners

  • Financial modelling and day to day cash management of assets and live funds

  • Preparing investor reports, presentations and related comms

  • Forecasting and analysis of performance, by asset and fund.

Candidate

The ideal candidate will have

  • 2 to 5 years working in real estate with a range of experience

  • Development / planning knowledge preferred

  • Strong financial numeracy and excel based modelling ability

  • Entrepreneurially minded with an ability to work independently

  • RICS, ACCA or similar preferred.

Remuneration

The salary for this role will be dependent on experience, with an anticipated range of £50,000 - £60,000. The successful candidate will also be rewarded with a generous benefits package (pension, healthcare, life assurance etc) and bonus structure.
