We are currently working with one of London’s leading central London estates. They are looking for a recently chartered Building Surveyor to make a client-side move and join the Project and Building Surveying team. The estate has a reputation for renovating their properties to a very high standard and they are looking for an experienced individual to start overseeing the CAPEX refurbishment works across their grade A portfolio, in addition to advising on their prime central London developments.

Remuneration:

£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The Role:

The Building Surveyor will report directly into the estates Head of Building Surveying and provide in-house support to the Residential Asset Management, Commercial Asset Management and Facility’s Management teams. They will have the autonomy to lead the cyclical internal and external program of works valued at circa £5 million per annum. Having responsibility for appointing and managing the external consultants and contractors. Additionally responsible or the large defect works across the estates portfolio. This person will also advise on their prime central London development and redevelopment schemes. Due to the nature of their portfolio it would be advantageous if the Building Surveyor has an interest in listed buildings, heritage and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying.

  • Ideally 1 – 2 years PQE in portfolio refurbishment works and CAPEX planned maintenance projects either in a consultancy or client side estate environment.

  • Experience managing consultants and contractors with good working knowledge of current CDM Regulations and H&S Legislation.

  • Experience in the management and oversight of programmes of work

  • Personality: Intelligent and attentive individual with a professional, polite and well-mannered approach
