Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor – Client-side - London

We are working with a leading residential investment and management company with an impressive multi-billion-pound residential portfolio across the UK.  They are currently looking for a Building Surveyor to join their London office in a project biased role overseeing the CAPEX refurbishment of their residential leasehold portfolio.

Remuneration:
£60,000 - £65,000 + benefits package + bonus.

The Role:

The Senior Building Surveyor will join the London team in a project biased role overseeing the project management and contracts administration of their residential block internal and external common parts refurbishment projects valued between £50,000 and c. £5 million in line with the agreed PPM (planned preventative maintenance reports).  In addition to the project work the Building Surveyor will also complete the pre-acquisition surveys, oversee dilapidation reports either directly or overseeing external consultant teams and advise on L&T matters.

The business holds a large residential asset portfolio across the UK so there will be some travel involved in the role although 70% of the portfolio is within London and the Southeast.  If the Building Surveyor has any fire risk and safety experience this would also be an advantage due to cladding defect assessments going on across the portfolio.

Requirements:

• MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying

• Experience overseeing Residential PPM projects valued between £50k and c£2 million.

• Experience of various forms of construction, building pathology and building regulations

• Excellent communication and report writing skills with the ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.

• Additional experience in AutoCAD would be desirable.
