Development Manager / Development Project Manager – Private Equity - Office & Residential PRS assets - London

We are working in partnership with an entrepreneurial private equity business with a £500+ million international asset portfolio to find them a Development Manager / Development Project Manager to join their London office. As an investor, developer and manager you will gain full 360-development exposure across their UK and European portfolio with a bias towards commercial office assets.


£65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The Role:

The Development Manager / Development Project Manager will report into the head of development and will lead the value-add cut and carve, CAT A / B fitout and refurbishments of the UK and European office developments between 30,000 – 200,000 Sqft with £3 million - £40 million construction costs. In addition to leading the delivery of circa 4 – 5 office projects (total Capex c.£50 million) the Development Manager will also oversee from a higher-level monitoring view some of their developments in the residential BtR and Hotel investment portfolio.

The role will be a 360 position from assisting with early-stage DD, inputting buildability into the development appraisals and planning but will have a core delivery focus leading the design, procurement and tender of the consultant and contractor teams managing the development delivery to FF&E. You will be given the autonomy to lead project reporting back into the director of development.

They are looking for an MRICS qualified Development Manager ideally from a quantity surveying or project management background with the ability to travel to the developments in mainland Europe c. ones per week and it would be a great advantage if you had German language skills.

  • MRICS (preferably) with a degree in Project Management, Quantity Surveying or Real Estate.

  • Solid experience leading the 360-development process of office Cut and Carve, CAT A / B fit-out and refurbishments with construction costs above £5 million.

  • Commercially astute with good stakeholder management and reporting skills.

  • Strong communication and organisation skills to work within a fast passed entrepreneurial private equity environment.

  • Additional experience of European assets and German Language skills would be an advantage.
