Development Manager – Residential & Mixed-Use schemes – London

We are working with an expanding investment, development and asset management business who are looking for a Development Manager to join their London team.  The company are an entrepreneurial mid-sized business who focus on the development of residential and commercial schemes across the UK and are looking for a technical individual ideally from a Quantity Surveying /  Project Management background to take a lead client-side development oversight role.

Remuneration:
£60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The Role:
The Development Manager will join a small London team and have the autonomy and gravitas to lead the full development process from inputting into feasibility / development appraisals through planning and design to managing he main contractor in delivery to operational handover or sale.  They are looking for a commercially astute Development Manager with core technical elements of the role including overseeing the budgets, cash-flow, funding agreements, drawdowns, contracts administration and change management throughout the developments and be able to lead high level reporting into stakeholders and funding partners on development progress vs development agreement.

They currently have a number of schemes valued between £1 million and c.£20 million at different RIBA stages and therefore are looking for a proactive individual who has experience of cradle to grave delivery within residential BtR / for sale, mixed-use and commercial sector and a background in cost management.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Cost Management or Project Management,

  • Experience within residential & commercial development, preferably of multi-unit residential PRS / BtR developments valued £1 million – c.£20 million.

  • Experience in overseeing the 360-development cycle from front end appraisal and planning through tender and management of the development to PC.

  • Engaging, commercially astute and ambitious.
