Development Manager / Senior Development Manager – City of the Future – Saudi
We are currently working with the team master planning and developing the mega city of the future in NW Saudi by the Red Sea. This large c.$500 billion scheme will cover an area of 26,000 Sqkm and set the standard for future renewable city development. Due to the scale of the project Falmouth Fairfax are currently working with the team to help find a number of individuals including Development Managers and Senior Development Managers to join the mainly expat team and input into the first phase of the large-scale development.

The Role:
The successful Development Manager / Senior Development Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing the development of the first phase of the new city (Residential, Logistics, Higher Education, Stadia, Commercial, Leisure, Health and Retail) taking the master plan and turning it into reality. The role will have full scope from project inception to delivery and handover / occupation with particular emphasis on maximizing return on invested capital and operating profitability, including management of cashflow and development process.
The Development Manager / Senior Development Manager will be accountable for the development and execution of the design, working closely with the proponent team to drive the right outcomes from concept through to delivery and handover stages. Ultimately providing the bridge between the Development, Project Management, Construction, Cost and Infrastructure teams. They are looking for a number of individuals with experience delivering large scale £50+ million projects within Stadium, University, Residential, Leisure, Logistics, Hospitals and Strategic Land.
As the project is based out in Saudi there is a lot to consider. Although, there are many benefits that come with working on such a project. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Project Management, Architecture, Planning or Engineering from an accredited university – MBA would be desirable.
Preferably 8+ years of experience delivering large scale development projects in the capacity of Project Manager / Development Manager.
Excellent communication skills, with high standard of English, confident, ability to convey ideas and easily and interact with various stakeholders.
Good understanding of real estate from architectural concepts, feasibility studies, investment proposals with the ability to oversee the 360-delivery process.
Excellent problem solving, planning, organizing and analytical skills in the resolution of complex problems.
A good commercial understanding and the ability to analyse and promote value add opportunities balancing risk and reward.
