Development Project Manager - Leading Residential and Student Developer - Hampshire

Our client is a leading development and construction business with 20+ years’ experience investing, developing and managing projects across the residential, office, education, health and infrastructure sectors.  Their BTR and Student Accommodation development team are currently looking for a Development Project Manager to join the team with flexi working from their Hampshire office.

Remuneration:

£65,000 – 75,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The Role:

The Development Project Manager will join an exceptional team of land, investment, development and construction professionals and support the growth of our client’s residential BTR and student accommodation PBSA development pipeline.  Average schemes sizes will be 200+ units with construction values between £50 and £100+ million.  Reporting into the Senior Development Manager and Head of Development you will contribute into all stages of the delivery cycle from initial feasibility, through tender and construction oversight (JCT D&B) to project completion.

They are looking for an astute and numerical Project Manager as the developments are both directly funded and through investment partners so understanding of the funding agreement obligations would be advantageous as you oversee the developments through RIBA 2 – 6.  The ideal candidate will have good large scale residential build experience wither from a main contractor or developer environment and have the gravitas to lead and negotiate.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Project Management or Construction Management
  • Ideally 5+ years’ experience within development, preferably of large multi-unit residential PRS or PBSA developments, but other asset classes acceptable.
  • Experience in the 360-development cycle from feasibility through design to onsite construction oversight.
  • Engaging, commercially astute with good communication skills.

This is a great opportunity to join an expanding division with exceptional financial backing with a flexible working set up.
