A leading pan-European investment platform is seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst to join their growing Portfolio Management team. The team manage a large portfolio of owned prime logistics assets across Europe including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Role Overview
The Portfolio Management Analyst will provide support to the wider Portfolio Management team and will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical duties associated with operating a rapidly changing portfolio of logistic properties in Europe.
The main duties will include the corporate modelling & analysis required to maintain and develop financial models for varied purposes, including corporate modelling and investment appraisals.
Main Responsibilities:
Understand and develop key metrics to assess the performance and drive shareholder value
Perform quarterly performance analysis, ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis
Maintain, update, and develop the Anaplan-/Excel-based real estate model
Participate in the annual budget and ongoing re-forecasting processes
Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
Perform special ad-hoc projects and analyses as assigned
Provide support for the wider Portfolio Management team
Develop relationships with regional analysts and asset managers in the field and participate in budget and leasing meetings to become intimately familiar with all real estate aspects of assigned properties
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The Portfolio Management Analyst must possess the following:
Work experience in the finance or commercial real estate fields
Exceptional analytical skills with a deep knowledge of and mastery of Excel
Should be able to construct basic real estate forecasting models quickly and accurately
Should be able to sort, analyse, and aggregate data quickly and accurately
Deep interest in portfolio and property-level asset management decision making and capital allocation strategy
Strong finance knowledge. Progress towards CFA, CAIA or similar professional certifications would be a plus
European language skills are a major plus but not required
