Project Architect / Design Manager – Mid-High End Residential Developer
Our client is a boutique mid to high-end residential developer who focuses on unique and sustainable developments across London. Over the last decade they have acquired and developed a number of successful residential schemes between £5 million and £20 million. They have recently expanded the business to lead the developments as a Construction Management Contractor and are looking for an Project Architect / Design Manager to work within the development team across the 360-development lifecycle.
Remuneration:
£35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits + Bonus (circa 10% - 20%)
The Role:
The successful Project Architect / Design Manager will join an existing team reporting into the Senior Project Manager and have detailed input into the design phases of their developments including onsite detailing and drawing to confirm the RFI build strategy and will be responsible for overseeing the design with the construction team throughout the development lifecycle monitoring quality control and design changes of a landmark 50-unit residential Passivhaus development with associated ground floor commercial.
They are looking for a qualified Architect who is intelligent and proactive and who is looking to make the move into the client-side developer environment. The business promotes an open and transparent culture focused on a team approach to problem identifying, sharing and resolving to empower all elements of the project team to achieve the end result.
Requirements:
Degree in Architecture
Ideally 3+ years of experience in residential development
Ability to hand draw on site to confirm design brief and on RFI
Ability to oversee and monitor the design quality, information flow and contracts through the development process.
Additional exposure to project / programme management, Asta PowerProject / Primavera as well as ProCore and BIM experience would be advantageous
Personality: Driven, proactive, detail focused and be able to fit into a culture of openness, transparency and collaboration
