We are currently retained by a leading REIT with a £1+ billion UK wide office, industrial and residential asset portfolio. Whilst continuing to invest and grow their asset portfolio they are looking for a Project Manager / Building Surveyor who will take a lead role in managing the framework and CAPEX spend across their existing portfolio covering multiple small works and refurbishment projects.
The role will be Southeast based between their Reading and London offices.

The successful individual will most likely have developed their career in either building surveying or project / programme management and have experience in CAT A/B office fit-out, internal and external PPM works and sustainability enhancements. The position will oversee the consultant framework across multiple small works projects each year, circa £30/40 million in total vale with individual refurbishments valued between £150,000 and c. £1million. Project will include a variety of internal and external refurbishment and enhancement initiatives to the existing assets and is a key high profile position within the business.
The Project Manager will be responsible for appointing and managing the consultant and contractor teams initially setting the framework briefs and guidelines and reporting back on delivery cost, time and quality. In addition to overseeing the framework programme the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of 3 – 5 refurbishment projects at different stages. They are looking for management ability to grow and lead a small team of surveyors and administrative staff.
A key focus of the role will be the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the external consultant teams and continually strive to increase efficiencies and streamline the framework process by leading lessons learn workshops and make strategic decisions for the £30+ million CAPEX budget.

- Degree in Building Surveying or Project Management
- Experience in managing multiple internal and external refurbishment projects valued up to £1 million
- Experience of framework / programme management and process improvement advantageous
- Commercially astute with good stakeholder management and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and organisation skills to work within a fast passed environment.
