Role Summary

Our client, a prominent central London Estate, is seeking a Property Manager to join their internal Property Management team. Working on a portfolio contained within one of the most desirable central London locations, the role will manage a mixture of retail, residential and offices assets.  

Key role responsibilities

Reporting to Head of Property Management, this person’s key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of Service Charge account management, including reviews of expenditure against budget

  • Manage property costs and procurement at both a property and estate level.

  • Monitor and enforce lease compliance and any other statutory requirements

  • Oversight and assistance with rent and service charge collection.

  • Contribute to development specifications and supplier agreements.

  • Develop relationships with service partners on a day-to-day basis to drive performance.

  • Monitor and report on compliance with H&S and environmental policies.

  • Instructing and overseeing building surveyors to deliver projects, working closely with in-house and external building surveyors.

  • Regularly visit and undertake six-monthly, formal inspections of properties.

  • Arrange and attend formal occupier meetings.

  • Identify and recommend business opportunities that arise.

  • Pro-actively engage with asset managers to ensure that Property Management and Asset Management are aligned in their respective goals.

Experience/ knowledge

  • Setting / management of / reconciling service charges

  • Understanding of the S.20 process

  • Detailed lease knowledge, understanding and experience in covenant reviews and implementation

  • Supply chain management

  • Procuring and managing building projects

  • Team player, with good communication skills

  • A proactive view to problem solving

  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team and independently

  • Excellent in verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Confident/ self-assured

  • Good negotiation skills
