The Company:
Our client is a leading global investment manager with portfolios across multiple investment classes, including real estate. This role will sit within the European real estate business, focusing on the value-add fund.
A highly capable Senior Analyst / Associate is sought to work across all aspects of the fund life including portfolio management and investments.
The role:
The role has a broad focus across all aspects of fund life. The primary responsibilities of this role will include:
Portfolio Management
Manage and prepare quantitative analysis of portfolio and asset business plans
Collate and report committed and actual spend against approved acquisition budgets
Develop and maintain fund models for performance and forecast
Perform frequent portfolio updates, collating data from local teams and JV partners
Measure performance and understand net asset value calculations.
Acquisitions
Independently build and maintain detailed financial models to analyse investment opportunities
Examine Joint Ventures, club deals and direct investments
Liaise with key members of the business to validate underwriting assumptions
Coordinate closing activities internally and externally
Coordinate and draft investment memos and strategy papers to be presented to the investment committee
Take an active role in the monitoring and management of the investments
The candidate:
Most likely 2-4 years’ experience in a real estate organisation, real estate private equity fund or real estate division of an investment bank
Strong knowledge & experience in analysing and modelling complex deals and financial structures.
Excellent financial modelling, analysis and research skills
Substantial level of skill in liaising with a range of stakeholders, using influencing, interpersonal, consultation and relationship building skills
Ability to commercially evaluate financial data, and present conclusions to inform business decisions
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare documentation for stakeholders’ groups at varying levels
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
German or French proficiency is an asset.
Remuneration:
Basic salary of up to c. £85,000, dependant on experience, plus benefits and a highly competitive bonus.
