Senior Development Manager – £50 million Residential lead mixed use scheme – London

Our client is an award-winning UK residential lead development business who have grown their £billion development portfolio over the last decade.  They are currently looking to appoint and Senior Development Manager within their London team.  The role will be a 360-development role overseeing schemes at front end acquisition / planning and in the delivery stages.

The Role:

The Development Manager / Senior Development Manager will join an exceptional development team in the central HQ and will take over managing two large multi-unit residential lead mixed use developments valued between circa £50 million and £100 million.  The Development Manager will have management responsibility for an assistant development manager and will be in an autonomous role leading the full 360 development management.  Core duties will include development appraisals, planning (section discharge), design, some land assembly work, oversight through delivery and comprehensive reporting into the head of development and board.  The ideal candidate with have experience in large complex residential developments set up in JV agreement and be able to make sure developments are on track with the original development plan.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Development Management or related real estate / property discipline

  • Ideally circa 10 years’ experience within development, preferably of large multi-unit residential PRS developments, but other asset classes acceptable.

  • Experience in overseeing the 360 development cycle from acquisition and development appraisal through planning, design and delivery oversight.

  • Good high level reporting experience and people management skills

  • Engaging, commercially astute with good communication skills.
