Senior Development Manager (Industrial / Logistics) – Client-side – London

Our client is a leading global investor, developer and manager with a multi £billion asset portfolio.  Due to further expansion of their office, industrial and residential portfolio in the UK they are looking for a Senior Development Manager (client-side Development Project Manager) to take a lead role on their Industrial portfolio oversee the refurbishment and new build development within the estate and future acquisitions.  The role will be based in their London office with some travel across the UK.

Remuneration:

£80,000 - £95,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The Role:

The Senior Development Manager (client-side Development Project Manager) will report into the head of development and projects and will be responsible for a c. £30 million CAPEX spend across existing asset refurbishment and new build developments with a focus on their industrial portfolio.  The Senior Development Manager will appoint and oversee external consultancy teams across the 360-development process from initial feasibility and planning through to completion.  Projects will be split into minor capital works and major projects valued £5 million to £20+ million.

The company have a focused investment target and are looking to double their Industrial assets within the next 5 years so the future focus of the role will be working with the investment and acquisition teams on new developments between 30,000 and 100,000 Sqft inputting into the development appraisals and taking the schemes through acquisition, design and planning to leasing.

Requirements:

  • MRICS qualified preferable but not essential.
  • Degree in Construction Project Management or Real Estate.
  • Solid experience leading the 360-development process of Industrial and Office new build and refurbishments with construction costs above £15 million.
  • Commercially astute and natural leadership ability with good stakeholder management and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills to work within a fast passed environment.
