Interior Design Manager / Studio Lead – High-end residential and office developments – London

Our client is an exceptionally dynamic investor, developer, and manager within the high-end residential and commercial mixed-use London market.  Due to their current development and future acquisition pipeline, they are looking to bring their design function in-house and hire a Studio Lead / Interior Design Manager.  This is a client-side opportunity, overseeing the design functions of high-end development projects with good future growth potential.

Remuneration:
£65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits + Bonus

The successful Design Manager will have good high-end interior design capabilities and most likely be sitting in a Studio Manager or Associate Director level position within an architecture / interior design studio.  You will report into the Head of Development and be responsible for setting up the inhouse design functions with the help of a Part II and Project/Design Co-ordinator.  You will have hands on responsibility for the interior design of a cross section of developments within the high-end residential, hospitality and office space ranging from c.£5 million to £20 million across prime London locations.

They have future aspirations to grow this function internally and may take on external client work however the initial focus will be hands on delivery of their existing pipeline of developments.  The successful Interior Design Manager will be joining a small close-knit team and they are looking for a passionate and driven individual who will be a team player but also have the ability to think outside the box and drive the studio forward.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Architecture or Interior Design

  • 10+ years’ experience preferable within high-end residential, hospitality and office led mixed use sectors.

  • Strong technical ability to deliver the inhouse design function as well as manage, mentor and grow a small internal studio team.

  • Good eye for detail, a passion for delivering a high-end product and a proactive, loyal and friendly persona.

This position represents an excellent opportunity for an individual to set up and have the lead role in an interior design studio working on a cross section of high-end development projects with future scope for growth.
