Senior Construction Manager – Mid-High End Residential Developer / Construction Management Contractor

Our client is mid to high-end residential developer who focuses on unique and sustainable developments across London.  Over the last decade they have acquired and developed a number of successful residential schemes between £5 million and £20 million. They have recently expanded the business to lead the developments as a Construction Management Contractor and are looking for a Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager to fulfil this function.

Remuneration:

£70,000 - £75,000 + Benefits + Bonus (circa 10% - 20%)

The Role:

The successful Senior Construction Manager will join an existing team reporting into the Head of Construction and complement the Site Manager and Assistant Project Manager both on and off site with coordinating, monitoring and the quality control of a landmark 50-unit residential Passivhaus development with associated ground floor commercial.

Key functions of the role will include management of the pre-construction planning / activities, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain through the delivery identifying and managing critical path issues and risk to complete on time, quality and cost. The ideal candidate will have an interest in sustainable development and have good programme management ability.  Previous site-based Construction Management experience is necessary, with an eye for detail and preferably comprehensive academic credentials.

Requirements:

• Degree in Project / Construction Management

• 5+ years of experience in residential development, ideally within JCT Construction Management

• Programme management skills via Asta PowerProject / Primavera as well as ProCore and BIM experience would be advantageous

• Experience in site Health & Safety, risk management, negotiation and programme reporting

• Personality: Driven, proactive, detail focused and be able to fit into a culture of openness, transparency and collaboration
