Senior Project Manager / Head of fit-out (m/f/d) – Client side – London

Falmouth Fairfax are working in partnership with a leading nursery provider with 30+ sites across Europe as they drive their expansion into the UK market. As part of this expansion, they are looking to bring into the team an ambitious Senior Project Manager to lead the fit-out of their new acquisitions. The role will be based in the London office with projects in the southeast and then across the UK.

The role:

The Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager will be joining a small but rapidly growing team who are focused on expanding their business in the UK nursery sector. The candidate will be responsible for the 360 oversights of projects from initial feasibility and DD at acquisitions stage through design, planning and appointing and management the external consultant and contractor teams to had over of the completed nurseries to the operation teams. They are an exceptionally well-funded business with established sites across Europe and looking to grow rapidly targeting 50+ sites across the UK over the next 5 years.

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience of running multiple mid-size fit-out projects between c.5,000 Sqft and 10,000 Sqft with construction costs between £1 million and c.£3 million. Experience of the nursery / education sector would be an advantage, but they are open driven people who have good experience of JCT contract negotiation and the management of office, retail, hotel or leisure schemes. As a growing team they are looking for someone with an euntropenerial and forward-thinking mind set who has the ability to lead projects autonomously and is looking to input into the growth of the UK business.

Requirements:

·        Degree qualified in Project Management or Building surveying

·        MRICS / MAPM qualified preferable but not essential

·        5+ years’ experience delivering fit-out and refurbishment projects valued between £1 million and £5 million, advantageous if this is in the nursery, leisure, or education space.

·        Ability to run the full project lifecycle from inception to completion and ability to input into the front-end feasibility and DD.

·        Good experience of consultant and contractor team management under JCT contracts.

·        Good experience of MS Office suit, Asta programme software and ability to read architectural drawings

·        German language skills would be a plus.
