Associate Director Building Surveying – Residential management - London
We are working on an exceptionally exciting position for the Building Surveying division of an entrepreneurial business who lead the way in residential management. Combing the latest technology, exceptional people and solid financial backing they have seen rapid global expansion in recent years and are continuing to expand their impressive multi-billion-pound residential portfolio. They are looking for an Associate Director level Building Surveyor to join their team reporting into the CEO with excellent future growth and career progression opportunity.
Remuneration:
£70,000 - £85,000 + Benefits + Bonus.
Fully flexible working set up 1-2 days office per week
The Role:
The Senior Building Surveyor / Associate Director will join the London team in a fully flexible role and will manage both project and professional surveying across their residential portfolio. The role will be a mix of project management of large block internal and external common parts refurbishment projects including cladding reinstatement and fire safety valued between £50,000 and c. £5 million in and professional condition, party wall, dilapidation, pre-acquisition surveys and advising the wider property management divisions on L&T matters.
The business holds a large residential asset portfolio across the UK so the role will be predominantly focused on servicing this, with some travel involved although 70% of the portfolio is within London and the Southeast. As this is an expanding business the role represents an exceptional opportunity for personal career development for the right individual with a commercial mindset, experience in business development and team management being a distinct plus in the role.
Requirements:
MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying
Solid experience overseeing Residential PPM projects valued between £50k and c£2 million.
Experience in condition surveys, building pathology, dilapidations, party wall, pre-acquisition and expert witness services.
Excellent communication and report writing skills with the ability to manage junior members of the team and work autonomously.
Experience in fire / building safety, cladding reinstatement, AutoCAD and business development would be desirable.
