Development Manager – Residential PRS and Student developer - London

We are working with a mid-sized, well-financed European Real Estate investment company who have a secure long term residential and commercial asset base. Due to further growth in their Residential and Student portfolio and some large-scale redevelopment opportunities they are looking for a driven Development Manager to join their London team.

Remuneration:
£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits + Bonus with a 4/1 flexi working set up

The Role:

The Development Manager will join a proactive Real Estate team of circa 7/8 individuals (investment, acquisition, development and asset management) and gain a wide exposure across their asset base both in London and Europe. Reporting into the Development Director the role will initially be front end focused running the development and option appraisals (excel and ARGUS) and inputting into the business plan and planning and then will move into assisting right through the delivery phases to operational readiness and lease.

Schemes will range from existing asset value add redevelopment opportunities to some larger £100+ million regeneration schemes and will give the Development Manager exceptional hands-on insight through the full investment, development and management process.

They are looking for a proactive individual who has good front end appraisal experience but what’s to learn and grow their skills across the 360 development piece.

Requirements:
 

  • MRICS (preferable but not essential) with a degree in Planning & Development, Project Management, Property or Real Estate

  • Ideally 3 – 5 years’ experience across multiple asset classes and an interest in the Residential and Student development market.

  • Experience running development appraisals (excel & ARGUS), cashflows and planning process for mid-level 20 – 250 unit schemes.

  • An entrepreneurial hands-on attitude, good communication skills and a sense of humour
