Associate Director level Building Surveyor – Expanding European Surveying and PropTech business.

We are currently retained by a leading pan European surveying and PropTech business with an exceptional pedigree, who are looking for an Associate Director level Building Surveyor to join their business as part of a strategic plan to expand their services into the complementary building surveying consultancy space.  This is an excellent opportunity to get in at the ground flow of a new growing division.

Remuneration:

£65,000 - £80,000 + targeted bonus

The Opportunity:

The company have an exceptional reputation within surveying stretching back over 20 years with offices across the UK and Europe.  They have an enviable client base working with many of the UK’s tier one development, asset management and estate businesses and offer a cutting edge PropTech digital asset data capture platform to their clients.  As part of the next stage of expansion they are looking to add Building Surveying into their consultancy services. 

The successful Associate Director / Senior level Building Surveyor will be joining the senior management team including one current Building Surveyor in the London office and be responsible for driving the development of this business line through their existing client base via cross pollination and internal stakeholder referrals.  The Building Surveyor will be hands on delivering the professional and project services to their existing private sector clients and will then look to grow the building surveying team.  The work will cover a cross section of dilapidations, condition surveys, due diligence, project monitoring, project management and contracts administration with key interface with the digital teams on the data offering.

They are looking for an ambitious individual who has a proactive attitude to drive the growth of this new service line across their 2000+ existing clients with a vision of having a team of circa 4/5 Building Surveyors in the London office within the next 12 months as well as looking to expand the building consultancy into their Midland and Northern offices.  Due to the size of the business the Building Surveyor will have the full support of the marketing, logistics, HR and R&D teams and have the financial incentives to achieve real success in the position.

Requirements:

• MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying.
• Ideally 10+ years’ experience across project and professional building surveying both in a hands on and management role.
• Experience in business development or the aptitude for growing a business area.
• Interest in PropTech and the digital asset space would be advantageous.
• Personality: Proactive, driven, professional with good communication and relationship building skills.
